Jessica Swannell, Costs Lawyer & Practice Manager
Jessica started her career with A&M Bacon Limited in 2007 as a Trainee Costs Lawyer. She became a fully qualified and regulated Costs Lawyer in December 2011 having been trained by Michael Bacon. She is a winner of the ACL’s Gold Cup, achieving 95% and the highest marks in her qualifying examinations and was one of the youngest Costs Lawyer to qualify in the country at the age of only 21. Jessica’s experience of the sector is broad, having handled litigation costs on behalf of Ministry of Defence, Byrne & Partners and Bryan Cave LLP. Jessica’s notable case includes Patterson v. Ministry of Defence  EWHC 2767 (QB).
Jessica specialises in commercial litigation, industrial disease and Solicitor & Client work.
In addition to her work as one of A&M Bacon Limited’s Senior Costs Lawyers, Jessica is tasked with managing the practice. She regularly attends training and conferences on management and leadership and collates a large amount of management information to ensure A&M Bacon Limited continues to improve the already high standards of service it provides.
Jessica is also responsible for all client accounts and quality control at A&M Bacon Limited.
Jessica was also awarded Commercial Business Person of the Year 2016 by the Business Awards 2016
