Training Suite

We offer a selection of highly specialised training all focussing around the recovery of costs in the Court of Protection.  These sessions can be hosted online or in person at your office.

General Court of Protection Costs Training:- suited to both practitioners who are new to the industry and more experienced practitioners alike, this two-hour session covers the bases of assessment, what the SCCO looks for when assessing your costs, how the bills are prepared and assessed and how you can avoid the pitfalls to maximise your recovery.

Post death costs:- This session runs up to an hour and looks at the recent practice note circulated by the SCCO in May 2024 and its impact. We also explore how costs can be dealt with following the passing of your client and how this differs depending on who is appointed to administer the estate.

Litigation Support Costs:- This sessions runs up to an hour and explores the issues around where your costs should be claimed and recovered where the deputy assists the litigator with information and instructions to progress the litigation.

Bespoke training for clients:- These sessions are tailored to focussing on your recovery and areas where reductions are made with a view to minimising these going forward.
