Brian Joined A & M Bacon in June 2021 and is part of the successful Court of Protection costs specialist team. He qualified as a Costs Lawyer in December 2015.

Brian has been involved in Legal Costs since 2009 and has had a variety of roles from Costs Auditing, Costs Draftsman, Assistant Team leader to qualified Costs Lawyer.

Brian has worked in many areas in costs that include Personal Injury, Clinical Negligence, NIHL and Asbestos claims and Court of Protection Costs. He has worked on both Claimant and Defendant costs.

Brian has great experience in preparing Court of Protection Bills of Costs for submission to the SCCO for a variety of clients. These include General Management, Deputyship applications, Statutory Will applications, contentious matters and other miscellaneous bills.

Brian prides himself on his attention to detail and securing the best outcome for the client. He is very experienced in preparing challenges to assessed bills and has had many successes in improving the client’s recovery on their costs.

In his spare time, he is busy with two young children, loves his music, watches live music when he can and regularly visits County Donegal to see family.
