Amy Avory, Costs Specialist

Amy has worked in legal costs since 2018 and, in 2020, qualified as a Paralegal under the CILEX course (achieving a First in the process). Amy is now currently enrolled on the Solicitor course with BPP University.

Amy has dealt with both adverse and recovery matters and has specialised in the following areas:

  • Tax disputes

  • Housing Disrepair

Amy also has also dealt with Section 26 matters, Costs Budgets and Solicitor & Client disputes.

In July 2023, Amy transferred to the Court of Protection Team to develop her knowledge in Court of Protection matters and advocacy. Given her wide array of experience, Amy is able to prepare high quality Bills of Costs and detailed advice upon the prospects and process of appeals following assessment.

In her spare time, Amy plays lawn bowls at County and National level – in 2018 Amy won her first ever national title and, subsequently, is now a National Champion in the Ladies Triples. Amy also loves to read and is a member of a local book club. When Amy is not bowling, or reading, Amy loves to go on long walks with her Jack Rusell cross Springer Spaniel “Patch”.
