Emma started her career with A&M Bacon Limited as an Administrative Assistant. Emma took a keen interest in costs and in September 2014 Emma enrolled on the Association of Costs Lawyers course. Emma qualified as a Costs Lawyer in 2017.
Emma has dealt with both adverse and recovery matters and specialised in Judicial Review and Section 26 recovery cases against the Legal Aid Agency.
Emma now specialises in drafting Court of Protection bills for deputy clients with an aim to maximise recovery. Emma is able to assist the client throughout the assessment process by preparing the bill of costs and associated documents, filing for assessment and providing advice following assessment. Emma is able to advise on the prospects of and pursue an appeal should this be necessary following assessment.
Emma enjoys travelling and also visiting places within the UK with her Boston Terrier Ben.
