Peter has an impressive legal background. He was admitted as a Solicitor in 1975 and became a Deputy District Judge in 1992. He was a member of the CPR Rule Committee between 1996 and 1999 and was appointed Deputy Taxing Master of the SCCO in 2002 with a full-time appointment in 2006.
